The Family Enterprise Advisor Program (FEAP), now entering its fourth year, has expanded to include a May and September 2012 cohort due to growing popularity. FEAP is a new field of study pioneered by the Business Families Centre, backed by the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business. Based on the feedback and needs of business families, the multidisciplinary program provides advisors with a more sophisticated level of understanding around business families and their unique challenges.
Graduates put themselves ahead of the curve by becoming one step closer to earning the Family Enterprise Advisor designation (FEA), the first of its kind in the world. Offered by the Institute of Family Enterprise Advisors (IFEA), the designation is granted to qualified professionals that succeed in combining the education and professional experience necessary to become a certified family enterprise advisor. The FEA professional designation allows for family business owners to immediately identify and trust professionals that understand the unique needs of family enterprise.
Some of our recent graduates have begun working towards their FEA designation by writing the required exams. These advisors are leaders in the field of family enterprise and among the first group to obtain the designation.
