About Us
The BFF Mission: Empowering entrepreneurial families and those who advise them to address and resolve their issues and, in so doing, help them grow, develop and endure as the economic backbone and social fabric of their communities.
The Business Families Foundation (BFF) is a non-profit charitable organization established in Canada over twenty years ago to help business families. Its mandate is international.
Three core beliefs drive our philanthropic activity, together with our partners and affiliates:
-
Belief # 1. Business families across continents face universal challenges, issues and preoccupations in their development and transition phases.
-
Belief # 2. Business families are essential to our communities, locally, nationally and globally; they need, want and deserve to be helped in addressing and resolving their particular challenges and issues.
-
Belief # 3. Regional leadership by entrepreneurial families - “Business Families helping Business Families” - is a crucial driver in developing and disseminating meaningful educational resources to business families and those working with them.
BFF’s main contribution is to provide neutral space to articulate and discuss the issues facing business families; explore available and potential solutions; translate the dialogue into meaningful and practical educational materials and experiences; and, help develop a network of regional, sustainable educational hubs for business families.
By doing so, we believe we help the field of family business grow and flourish for the benefits of all.
